A couple, who had spent 18 years living in Plymouth, have moved to Baker Estates’ development in Callington.
Surrounded by countryside, Tracey Lavis, 57, and Tony Frost, 63, moved into their new three-bedroom home at Meadowbrook in Callington at the end of last year and couldn’t be happier.
They had both worked at the naval base in Plymouth; Tracey working for the MOD in Procurement and Tony, a Programme manager, now semi-retired.
Tracey explained: “We had always loved living and working in the city, but over recent years we felt the dynamic had changed, and when our daughter Megan 25 moved out of the family home, it made us rethink and plan a move to somewhere new.”

It took us by surprise how much we liked the look and feel of the development – nothing like we’d expected!
“From the outside, it felt like a place we wanted to live, then when we stepped inside we absolutely fell in love with it. The quality of the build, the attention to detail and the finish was just beautiful with a spacious flow. It’s hard to describe, but this house has so much soul compared to the ‘box-like’ new estate houses you see on many large sites.”
“To be honest the whole buying process ran like clockwork. The Sales consultant at Meadowbrook was very helpful throughout and we can’t praise the team enough. We already feel right at home here. It’s a real community and neighbours are so helpful sharing local information and recommendations,” recalled Tracey.
Now spring is just round the corner, the couple are looking forward to getting out and making the garden a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.
