As Baker Estates hands over six affordable homes to Plymouth Community Homes in Callington
Award winning south west housebuilder, Baker Estates, has teamed up with Plymouth Community Homes to deliver the first significant number of affordable new homes in Callington for years.
The 51 brand new affordable homes over five years (15 shared ownership and 36 affordable rent), which are guaranteed as part of the Baker Estates’ new Meadowbrook development, have been welcomed by locals.
Baker Estates’ Development Director, Graham Hutton, handed over the first six affordable homes to Gavin Sutton from Plymouth Community Homes at the site.
Graham Hutton commented: “Not only is Meadowbrook providing much needed affordable accommodation in Callington, the overall construction project will also generate huge inward investment including new jobs for local people as well as £1/2 million of Section 106 contributions which will be beneficial to all members of the community.”
Graham added: “We are delighted to have started this exciting partnership with Plymouth Community Homes and look forward to working with the organisation over the coming years as the new homes are built for young people and families to enjoy for years to come.”

Baker Estates’ Meadowbrook development has a range of open market homes available including 2,3,4 bedroom homes and bungalows starting at £229,995.
