Dog lover Carly Ward has made her dream move to Cornwall and is loving the new lifestyle.
Carly, and her mum Penny, along with Bear and Bow, their two beloved dogs, have embarked on a new life at Baker Estates’ Meadowbrook development in Callington. Carly bought her stunning new home after moving from Dinton in Buckinghamshire in the last summer.
The qualified canine nutritionist, who is passionate about promoting animal health and welfare, explained: “Originally, I focused on moving to Falmouth, knowing it was on the coast and had quite a lot going on, but when I visited the developments, I decided that it was not the right place for running my business.”
Carly has just set up Perfect Pawtions (perfectpawtions.com), which specialises in creating healthy natural dog food and treats and wanted to live in the right place to run it. About to head home from her property hunt, Carly did a final Google search for Cornish new builds and Baker Estates’ Meadowbrook in Callington came up on her search.
Carly recalled: “I wasn’t familiar with the location in south east Cornwall and almost cancelled the viewing. Thankfully, I spoke to my Mum and she convinced me that I should go ahead and look at the Baker Estates’ development.”
Carly loved Meadowbrook and reserved the three bedroom semi detached house off plan.
Any apprehension felt by a long move instantly disappeared when Penny and Carly first drove up to their new home. “The feeling of space outside and inside was just fantastic,” said Carly.
“The driveway can fit three cars on it, the garage is really roomy and works so well for storage of our dog food business and the garden is very generous. What really stands out inside is the overall feeling of space, attention to detail and beautiful quality.
“Baker Estates has gone the extra mile and included, as standard, things like a rainfall shower, an induction hob, integrated appliances and LED down-lighters.”
Carly added: “We all love our new house - it feels like home already. I’m enjoying choosing blinds and fabric and making the finishing touches. We have lovely neighbours and have met friendly locals and residents on our dog walks. It turns out the location couldn’t be better, we’re surrounded by great places to visit, Liskeard, Saltash and Plymouth are all within 30 minutes by car and the picturesque Tamar Valley is only six miles away.”
