We recently attended the Torbay Sports Awards 2017 and were delighted to sponsor this year’s award for Senior Sports Personality of the Year.
Managing Director Ian Baker presented the award to Amanda Barge, the Taekwon-Do star who trains under nationally recognised England coach Steve Millis at the South Devon Taekwon-Do School in Barton.
Ian plays an active role in the sports community, having played semi-professionally for a number of football and cricket teams over the years, including Torquay Cricket Club, Barnstaple Town FC and Truro FC. He said:
“As a business we’re strong advocates of sports participation, and we will be pledging £250 in sports funding to a local club at each of our new developments. The Torbay Sports awards recognise the achievements of our local sportspeople and we were delighted to be involved this year.”
